Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Board of Education of the School District of Oakland-Craig, in the County of Burt, in the State of Nebraska, a/k/a School District No. 014, has been scheduled on January 10, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. This meeting will be held at the Oakland-Craig Elementary Building at Oakland, NE, in the Board meeting room, which meeting will be open to the public. OC is holding a vaccination and booster clinic on Monday, January 10. Please see the flier attached. This is open to the public. The consent form can be found on our website.
OC is hiring in the after school program. Per our grant, we have to hire somebody with a high school diploma or a GED for this particular position.
O-C Graduates from 2020 and 2021, there will be a Q and A session with Mrs. Burton and Mrs. Magnusson today at 2:30 p.m. at OCHS. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Let Mrs. Penke know ASAP if you need meat and cheese for Christmas or New Years…or just because it is delicious. We have summer sausage, jerky, sticks for meats, and jalapeño, havarti bell, and smoked bacon cheese blocks. We also have cheddar, jalapeño, smoked bacon, Asiago pepper jack cheese spread!
Attention OC Families & Community Members: The gym, weight room, & wrestling rooms will be closed from December 21-December 27 for routine maintenance. The walking track will be available but please refrain from using any other areas. Have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

We have revised the Return to Learn plan and highlighted changes directly on the document. In addition, we are starting to see a decline in our Covid-Related illnesses (4.5% last week to 2.9% currently) but will finish the semester with our orange guidelines. Due to forecasted winds, O-C will have an early dismissal today with elementary dismissing at 1:10 p.m. & high school at 1:17 p.m. We will run an afternoon bus route & will do our best to take vans instead of buses if possible. If you plan to pick your child up instead of sending them on the bus, please contact the school as soon as possible. No afternoon preschool, P2T, or after school program. All afternoon/evening activities are canceled. Please stay safe!
Due to the forecasted High Wind Warning for TOMORROW, Wednesday, December 15, Oakland-Craig will not be running the afternoon bus routes. The morning bus route will run as scheduled. The After School Program will be closed tomorrow. At this time, we plan to be in session all day; however, we will monitor the weather and inform you of any changes. Parents of bus riders, please make arrangements for your child after school on Wednesday. Please expect longer wait times when picking up your children due to a large number of riders.
