First grade keeps knocking out those math facts on xtra math! Way to go kiddo!
The O-C 5th grade science class has been learning about particle models of matter. To demonstrate, we did an activity where CO2 gas particles built up in a bottle and spread out in the container until it couldn’t hold the pressure any more, so the bottle pops off into the air.
The 6th grade class did an activity where Mr. Meyer used a blowtorch on a paper cup filled with water to show how water acts as an insulator, limiting the thermal energy transfer.
Another fabulous first grader passing subtraction extra math!
