First grade got to imagine they were opening their own pumpkin patch. They had to decide what activities and food they would like to offer and stick to their budget. Today they created their pumpkin patch map and brochure.

“Since it’s my senior year, I wanted to create an art piece that really means something to me. My mom and I have always been really close and I don’t always have the words to explain my love and appreciation. Art is a great outlet for any and every emotion, and can even help you share an idea or claim.” - Senior Josh Monson

It’s typical to tie multiple shoes in a day, but this one was anything but typical and had me thinking this Kindergartener gets the trophy for their knot making skills!

“On March 29, 2003, my uncle, Antonio Ayala Jr. , was deployed to Iraq to fight for his country. He had three children and a wife at the time. Our family was devastated that he had to leave us, but we had faith and hope he’d come home soon. I made the decision to make this my art project because this was moments before Antonio left for Iraq. He is holding his oldest son, Anthony, who was only three years old.” - Senior Jayda Van Deusen

Oakland-Craig High School Parent-Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching! We look forward to welcoming you to conferences hosted at Oakland-Craig Elementary from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 19th and Wednesday, October 21st. The secondary teachers will be located in the gym. We are looking forward to meeting with all parents about the academic growth of their students over the first quarter. We encourage you to bring your questions for teachers as they discuss your student’s individual experience, as well as the plan for their course moving into second quarter. Please keep in mind that we will have the following teachers that will be gone due to O-C Knight coaching obligations on Monday night: Mr. Karl Lundquist and Mr. Joe Anderson. Both educators will be in session with us on Wednesday night. We do require that all parents and guardians wear a mask while in the building and conferencing with our staff. Please bring a mask with you. Otherwise, they will be able to be purchased. We can't wait to see you next week! Go Knights! Mrs. Michelle Burton
